The Buyer/Planner procures direct and indirect raw materials (consumables), tooling and fixtures; coordinates activities related to process planning and manufacturing to ensure availability of materials throughout the supply chain for commitments set forth in new product introduction projects
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities
- Respect and adhere to Greatbatch Medical's mission and core behaviors.

- Responsible for determining materials (direct and indirect including tooling) to execute new product introduction runs.
- Ensures that priorities are continuously and clearly identified in import (Warehouse), and inspection activities to maintain the flow of the supply chain.
- Maintains up to date purchasing through the Oracle System and plans purchasing parameters to ensure system accuracy.
- Controls and maintains inventory levels and pro-actively coordinates the reduction of non-moving, slow or obsolete inventory.
- Detailed development of project plans as it relates to inbound, in-process, and outbound materials logistics.
- Responsible for executing, safeguarding, and managing the timely movement of materials from raw material (direct and indirect), work-in-process, and in-process material, and outgoing inventories in the different stages of the projects of the new product introduction department.
- Coordinate the registration of new suppliers in the Oracle system.
- Request for quotations to suppliers and follow up on them. Likewise, send plans with revision to quote and update plans in case of changes.

- Co-prepares and negotiates the preparation and scheduling of production work orders for pilot runs.

Job Requirements
Minimum Education:
- Bachelor's Degree in Management, Industrial Engineering or related career Master's Degree in Management (desirable).
Minimum Experience:
- More than 5 years of experience in Purchasing and Production Planning.
Specialized Knowledge:
- Knowledge of ERP system Excellent computer skills (Oracle, Microsoft Office) Knowledge of manufacturing processes and material flows (Kan Ban, MRP, MinMax)
- Basic knowledge of Finance Basic knowledge of Statistics APICS Certification (desirable).
- Advanced level of English.
