Reporting to the Development Manager you will be part of a full-stack Engineering team based in Belfast. 

What You’ll Be Doing – the day-to-day: 

  • Be treated as one of the team; we will support you and teach you the fundamentals of software engineering.
  • Be part of a team that encourages you to grow and share the knowledge you’ve learned.
  • Develop software that contributes to the ESO suite of applications, supporting the emergency services.
  • Work on a range of cloud technologies. 
  • Learn architecture, design patterns and new ways of working.
  • Be open to CI/CD, automated testing, code review, pair programming, source control and domain-driven design.
  • Work directly with designers and business analysts to create customer-driven products.

Who You Are - some of the essential things required to be successful in the role: 

  • You must have completed at least two years of a third-level qualification in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline by June 2025. 
  • Coding experience with C#, Java or other comparable OOP language.
  • Excellent problem solvers with a drive toward finding solutions.
  • Able to display strong communication skills. 
  • Collaborative team player, both with your team and cross-functionally.
  • Eligibility to work in the UK is required - Please note that successful applicants will be based in the office in Belfast at one day per week.
