THE OPPORTUNITY

We have an opening for an Area Operations Manager whose responsibilities include leading a team of 30 wage associates to drive performance on Safety, Production, Quality, Delivery and Cost through team members development, in order to reaches the objectives of Safety, Quality and customer satisfaction.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Achieve Business Unit (safety, production, quality, delivery and cost) expected performance levels and respect of standards to satisfy customer demand.
• Ensure the team and its members are empowered and committed.
• Ensure the team’s autonomy is increased through the evolution of proficiencies and responsibility.
• Provide leadership and support to 30 wage production operators
• Facilitate the identification and implementation of process improvements.
• Work with maintenance, quality, and continuous improvement teams to meet both daily and annual efficiency goals.
• Develop employees through coaching plans and work closely with your team members to improve their capabilities through effective performance management.
• Monitor the short and long-term needs of the facility to ensure succession needs are met and employees are offered opportunities for development.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING

• A bachelor’s degree in technical/engineering field is preferred, equivalent experience will be considered.
• 3-5 years of successful people management (industrial setting preferred)
• A history of successful employee performance management (to include attendance, productivity, skill development, and talent management)
• Excel data analysis proficiency. 
• Knowledge of Power BI would be a plus.
