We are supporting the search for a PICU Clinical Pharmacist to join a respected children’s hospital with a strong reputation for compassionate, high-acuity pediatric care.
This role is based in a 32-bed Pediatric Intensive Care Unit and offers the opportunity to work closely with physicians and multidisciplinary teams in a highly collaborative environment. The position is ideal for a pharmacist who values clinical depth, team-based care, and making a tangible impact on critically ill pediatric patients and their families.
What You’ll DoProvide advanced clinical pharmacy services in the PICU
Participate in daily interdisciplinary rounds with physicians and care teams
Support medication optimization, safety, and evidence-based care
Contribute to clinical program development, quality initiatives, and cost stewardship
Collaborate with pharmacy leadership and, as needed, support departmental supervision
Uphold a culture centered on compassion, accountability, collaboration, and patient-centered care
Weekday day shift (typically 8:00 AM–5:00 PM)
One full week of on-call coverage every 8 weeks (after-hours and weekends)
No additional on-call pay
PharmD from an accredited school of pharmacy
Completion of a PGY-2 Pediatric Pharmacy Residency
OR PGY-1 Residency plus 3+ years of PICU experience
Prior clinical pharmacist experience in a PICU or pediatric acute care setting
Eligible for or licensed to practice pharmacy in Texas
Strong clinical judgment in high-acuity pediatric environments
Ability to build trust and collaborate effectively with physicians and care teams
Familiarity with hospital pharmacy systems and clinical workflows
Commitment to patient safety, quality improvement, and team-based care
Work in a highly regarded pediatric care environment
