Position Summary:
We are seeking a qualified Orthopedic Musculoskeletal Physician to join our practice with a sole focus on Florida Workers' Compensation patients. The ideal candidate may be a board-certified or board-eligible orthopedic surgeon, though non-surgical orthopedic musculoskeletal physicians with Workers Compensation experience are also encouraged to apply.
This position offers a consistent Workers' Compensation patient base, strong administrative support, and an opportunity to focus on high-quality patient care without the complexity of mixed payer models.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate, diagnose, and treat orthopedic injuries related to workplace accidents
- Provide medical opinions consistent with Florida Workers' Compensation statutes
- Perform orthopedic surgeries as indicated (if applicable)
- Determine Maximum Medical Improvement (MMI) and assign impairment ratings when appropriate
- Develop and manage treatment plans, including referrals for diagnostic testing or intreqeutic treatment
- Maintain timely and accurate medical documentation and reports
- Collaborate with case managers, employers, and legal representatives as required
Qualifications
- MD or DO with completion of an accredited orthopedic residency
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Orthopedic Surgery (preferred)
- Active or eligible for Florida medical license
- Knowledge of impairment ratings and Workers Comp documentation standards
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
