Hoag Health, the top-ranked health system in Orange County, CA is seeking a Cognitive & Memory Physician to join our growing program in Newport Beach, CA. The role will entail performing outpatient clinical care in an office-based setting with the opportunity to work within a dynamic, multidisciplinary team focused on delivering comprehensive, patient-centered care.

We are looking for a provider who is passionate about advancing the field through clinical research and innovation, and who thrives in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide clinical care for patients with cognitive and memory disorders, including Alzheimer’s disease, frontotemporal dementia, Lewy body dementia, mild cognitive impairment, and other neurodegenerative conditions
  • Participate in clinical trials and research initiatives
  • Collaborate with neuropsychologists, geriatricians, neurologists and other specialists to develop and implement individualized treatment plans
  • Contribute to the advancement of the field through research, innovation, and academic engagement

Requirements

  • Formal training in behavioral neurology, cognitive neurology, neurology, geriatric psychiatry, or a related discipline
  • Demonstrated clinical experience in diagnosing and managing cognitive disorders
  • Graduate from am ACGME program
  • California Medical License or ability to obtain 
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to collaborative care and scientific advancement
  • Passion for clinical research and innovation
  • Experience working in academic or research-oriented environments
  • Ability to thrive in a team-based, multidisciplinary setting

Skills Required

  • Formal training in behavioral neurology, cognitive neurology, neurology, geriatric psychiatry, or a related discipline
  • Demonstrated clinical experience in diagnosing and managing cognitive disorders
  • Graduate from an ACGME program
  • California medical license or ability to obtain one
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
