SALARY: $103.26-$134.24, per hour DOE, Hiring Bonus Available
REPORTS TO: Medical Director
LOCATION: Nespelem Health Center, Nespelem, WA
Basic Functions: This is a Exempt position. The Physician works under the direction of the Medical Director and Executive Director to fulfill the Colville Tribal Healthcare Authority mission. The Physician is responsible for providing ambulatory patient care as a health center clinician with a full panel of patients providing high quality medical care, meeting UDS benchmarks, contact compliance and strategic planning. Cultural sensitivity is a key component of this position. The Physician will perform their job duties in a professional manner while assuring that all the needs of the patients are met with a pleasant demeanor.
QualificationsMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and Training:
- Requires a Medical Degree – M.D. or D.O. in Family Practice or Internal Medicine and have a current DEA license.
- Must have and maintain a valid Washington state licensure as M.D. or D.O.
- HIPAA and Basic Life Support Certificate within initial 90 days of employment.
- Blood borne pathogen training annually.
- Valid Washington State Driver’s License is required and be insurable.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Requires the ability to understand, speak, communicate and read the English language.
- Requires the ability to utilize RPMS and EHR proficiently.
- Requires ability to utilize a multi-line telephone with good telephone etiquette.
- Requires proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Requires the ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality.
- Requires well-developed human relation skills to convey technical concepts to others.
- Requires the ability to communicate technical information and to interact with a wide variety of groups and individuals inside and outside the organization.
- Requires the ability to plan, organize, and prioritize work processes in a high-volume environment in order to meet schedules and timelines.
- Requires the ability to analyze data from multiple information ports by comparing and contrasting data to draw a conclusion or to identify trends.
- Requires the ability to communicate professionally in written, verbal, and non-verbal format while portraying a friendly tone, word choice, and body language.
- Requires the ability to take initiative and be proactive in the duties of the position in order to meet mandated deadlines and to comply with goals and objectives.
Note: Pursuant to Tribal Policy, if this position is safety sensitive it is subject to pre-employment drug testing. In addition, this position is subject to reasonable suspicion and post-accident drug testing.

If required of this position, you must possess and maintain a valid Washington State driver’s license and be eligible for the Tribes’ Vehicle Insurance. In addition, this position may be subject to pre-employment background clearances. If applicable, these clearances must be maintained throughout employment.
