SUMMARY OF POSITION:
PAs perform exercise and tilt table testing, assist in electrophysiologic studies performed in the EP laboratory/OR, including insertion of temporary pacing catheters and intracardiac mapping, analysis of recordings made during electrophysiologic studies, orientation of the cardiology fellows to electrophysiologic studies, perform initial and follow-up history and physical exams on arrhythmia evaluation (EKGs, carotid sinus massage). The PAs perform initial and follow-up evaluations of pacemaker and ICD patients and evaluation of post-operative wounds and also participate in the recruitment/care of patients in research protocols.
May need to travel between sites depending on operational need (Hutchinson Campus & Moses).
SCHEDULE: 7:30 AM-6 PM. Days vary.
EDUCATION, TRAINING & EXPERIENCE:
Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant Masters program.
Coverage for both inpatient and outpatient sites of service as operationally necessary
Certified by the National Commission of the Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)
Physician Assistant License by New York State
Skills Required
