About the Position
We are seeking an experienced Physical Security Operational Support lead to help keep our physical spaces safe and secure on a global scale. Technology is central to our business, and you will join a team dedicated to supporting our physical security operations centers (PSOCs) which keep our office buildings, disaster recovery sites, and colocation sites secure.
You will take a hands-on role in a wide range of tasks each day, including the following:
- Managing the day-to-day physical security operations and vendor relationships with on-site contracted physical security personnel in our New York office
- Identifying physical security risks to the firm and developing strategies to mitigate them
- Helping our global Physical Security team hire contingent physical security operators for our PSOCs in New York, London, and Hong Kong
- Leading our global semi-annual training program for our contingent physical security operators
- Developing and maintaining physical security policies, standards, and procedures, including emergency response procedures and crisis management planning
- Ensuring access control, video surveillance, and intrusion detection capabilities are functioning and working with our physical security technology team to troubleshoot as needed
- Collecting and evaluating internal metrics to measure performance, make data-driven decisions, and improve processes
- Coordinating with Jane Street employees, contractors, and vendors on physical security support and conducting site risk assessments for on- and off-site Jane Street-sponsored events and internship programs
- Managing security projects by developing plans, managing timelines, allocating resources, and ensuring that deliverables meet established standards
- Collaborating with the global team on security awareness programs for Jane Street employees and contingent workers
- Staying current with industry best practices and emerging security platforms and technologies
About You
- Have 5+ years of experience in corporate security, public service, intelligence, or threat management
- Have a deep understanding of security systems, technologies, and industry standards
- Experienced with incident management and response and developing security risk assessments
- Organized with strong time management skills
- Strategic and proactive thinker; able to see the big picture
- Able to work collaboratively and build productive relationships across teams and with external partners
- Previous experience leading a Global Security Operations Center is a plus
