PHP Technical Lead

We are looking for a PHP Technical Lead Developer who will take the lead in the development and delivery of enterprise web solutions. You will be responsible for architectural and infrastructural design, full development cycle, and deployment of scalable, high-performance PHP applications. This hands-on leadership role involves mentoring developers, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and engaging directly with clients to deliver robust, scalable platforms. 

Primary Responsibilities:  

• Collaborate with product owners to define requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions. 

• Architect and develop complex PHP-based web applications with a focus on maintainability and performance. 

• Design and optimize relational database schemas, manage data migrations and data integrations. 

• Lead deployment workflows, including CI/CD automation and infrastructure setup. 

• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve advanced technical issues across the application stack. 

• Mentor and guide development teams, promoting best practices in coding, architecture, and agile methodologies. 

• Implement comprehensive testing strategies, including unit, integration, and functional testing. 

• Conduct regular code reviews and enforce adherence to established coding standards. 

• Evaluate and integrate new technologies to improve system performance, security, and scalability. 

• Maintain high-quality documentation and support scalability planning for all major systems. 

• Implement and maintain best practices for SEO to enhance search visibility. 

• Ensure accessibility compliance across all digital experiences. 

• Promote intuitive and user-friendly designs that improve usability. 

• Oversee technical strategies that support seamless and scalable e-commerce functionality. 

Required Skills:  

• Minimum 10 years of experience in web development, with at least 5 years in PHP development and 3+ years in a technical leadership role. 

• Advanced proficiency in PHP frameworks such as Laravel (minimum 3 years) or Symfony. 

• Extensive experience with MySQL, including performance tuning and complex queries. 

• Solid experience in designing and integrating RESTful APIs. 

• Strong knowledge of front-end technologies such as Bootstrap/Tailwind and modern JavaScript frameworks (React.js or Vue.js preferred). 

• Experience with DevOps practices, including CI/CD, Docker, and deployment pipelines.   

• Proficiency with version control systems like Git and experience with branching strategies. 

• Proven track record in client communication, project planning, and delivering scalable solutions. 

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills. 

• Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.    

• Intermediate English proficiency (B2 level or higher).     

Nice To Have: 

• Exposure to cloud platforms like AWS or Azure. 

• Experience with testing frameworks like PHPUnit, Codeception, or Cypress.   

• Familiarity with microservices architecture and event-driven systems.
