The group of companies has a team of approx 20 members based in Europe (Malta, UK, Serbia, Ukraine, Nigeria, Poland etc) working with some of the leading technology and Email Service Providers.

Your Opportunity / What You Will Be Doing

• Develop and maintain clean, efficient, secure, and well-designed full-stack programming that conforms with accepted industry standards
• Design relational database structures to store the business data and of our clients' systems and websites (database/storage management)
• Maintain existing code-base in PHP and intelligently integrate new features in other services
• Performance measure and tune existing PHP services
• Ensure thoughtful coding practices which create tight security
• Refactor and enhance existing system towards increased scalability, efficiency, and automation
• Learn new web development languages, as required, to support the business
• Communicate with stakeholders at a high level to understand requirements and provide solutions in efficient and innovative ways
• Gain knowledge and stay abreast of technology trends and developments in the financial industry to use best practices

Workflow

• Weekly or 2-week sprints with the following meetings: Grooming, Sprint Planning, Sprint Presentation, Demo meeting and Retrospective
• Daily stand up call where we prioritize the work for the day ahead, discuss and remove blockers
• End of Day call where we review the completed action items for the day

We use Jira for project management, Confluence for documentation and Slack for team communication.

• Proprietary CRM and tracking platform (PHP) - PHP, SQL, HTML, CSS, Javascript
• Ongage, Iterable, Sendgrid, Sparkpost, smtp.com, etc
• Zapier
• Some databases are currently in Amazon AWS, some others are in-house
• Jira and Slack for project management and collaboration

Recruiting Process

All applicants will be asked to submit a form with basic details and a personality test and for those shortlisted, complete a 1-1 interview, a basic coding test and a final in-person assessment centre

Location / Hours / Starting Date / Reporting Line

Location: We just opened a new office opposite the Warsaw Spire, in Warsaw. You should expect to work Monday to Friday from this location.

Hours: Office hours, Monday to Friday - depending on team workload and urgencies, occasionally weekend work may be required / paid accordingly.

• In-depth knowledge of web application development using PHP/LAMP, HTML/CSS/JavaScript/Ajax/jQuery utilizing strong Web User Interface principles
• Familiarity with modern PHP frameworks would be highly desirable
• Familiar with GIT
• Familiar with basic AWS technologies/services
• Demonstrated knowledge of object-oriented programming in PHP
• Conversant with integrating third-party web services using APIs
• Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills with the ability to build effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including senior management, peers and third parties
• Attention to detail and exceptional verbal and written communication skills
• Understanding of data/server request from (GET / POST)
• Good Knowledge of SQL
• GitHub for code Collaboration
