We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist with an emphasis on PET/CT and Radioligand Therapy to join our healthcare team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic imaging and therapy procedures using radioactive materials to assist in the evaluation and treatment of patients' medical conditions. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of nuclear medicine principles, anatomy, and physiology, as well as the ability to work effectively with patients and healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities

  • Perform PET and CT scans, to obtain diagnostic images for evaluation by physicians.
  • Assist in the administration of radioligand therapies.
  • Administer radiopharmaceuticals to patients while ensuring adherence to safety protocols and aseptic techniques.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation related to procedures performed.
  • Ensure that all equipment is properly calibrated and maintained for optimal performance.
  • Educate patients about the procedures they will undergo, addressing any concerns or questions they may have.
  • Stay updated on advancements in nuclear medicine technology and best practices.

Experience

  • Proven knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology relevant to nuclear medicine.
  • Familiarity with diagnostic imaging techniques, radioligand therapy and equipment used in nuclear medicine procedures.
  • Experience with aseptic techniques and safety protocols in a clinical setting.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare professionals.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.

EDUCATION / TRAINING REQUIREMENTS:

  • 2 Years applied Heath Science Required
  • 4 Years Nuclear Med Tech / Applied Health Science Preferred

CERTIFICATES / LICENSES / REGISTRATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • CA Certified Nuclear Medicine Tech (CNMT) Required
  • CPR/BLS Certificate Preferred
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) or Nuclear Medicine Tech Certification Board (NMTCB) Required

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • 1 Year Clinical Nuclear Medicine Required
  • 3 Years EMR Preferred

Lifts and carries items weighing up to 50 pounds. Lifts and pushes patients in wheelchairs/stretchers weighing up to 300 pounds and places them in appropriate positions for operation of equipment. Requires ability to reach above shoulder height. Requires sitting/standing for extensive periods. Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range.
