Are you driven to support older adults in living independently with dignity and respect? 75 State Street is seeking a caring Personal Support Specialist (PSS) to provide hands-on assistance and compassionate care to our residents.

In this role, you’ll help with daily routines, personal care, and mobility, while ensuring a safe and welcoming environment. You’ll observe and document changes, maintain confidentiality, and respond to emergencies—all while working closely with a supportive team.

About Seventy-Five State Street

Located in the historic West End neighborhood of Portland, Maine, 75 State Street is a nonprofit senior community offering a continuum of care that includes Independent Living and Assisted Living. Our mission is to promote the independence, dignity, and individuality of older people of all financial abilities by offering supportive programs and services in an urban, residential setting. Requirements

  • Experience working with the elderly in a personal care environment preferred.
  • Valid PSS certification.
  • Good written and oral communication skills and ability to communicate effectively to residents, family, staff, and outside facilities and vendors.
  • Ability to meet facility and state immunization requirements.
  • Commitment to quality services and treating residents with dignity and respect.
  • Ability to work effectively with others and portray a positive, team-player attitude.

This is a non-exempt, full-time position. The starting pay range for this position is $18.00 - $21.00 per hour, plus any applicable shift differentials.
