Opportunity Overview

The Performance Test Engineer will provide innovative solutions to complex business problems. The Performance Test Engineer should be able to work independently with little supervision. The ideal candidate will have excellent software engineering skills, a consistent track record of delivery, and the ability to prioritize well and communicate clearly. We are looking for someone with creative engineering skills balanced with high quality and a customer focus. Must be able to work across multiple facets of the project and juggle multiple responsibilities at the same time. Strong analytic capability and the ability to create innovative solutions. Location: Hybrid/Remote

Responsibilities : 

• Ability to drive projects with Shift Left performance testing approach
• Should have developed automated tools to analyze the logs, reports etc.,
• Should have tested both frontend and backend systems built on .NET, JAVA, REACT etc., in a SaaS environment
• Should have in-depth monitoring capabilities (Client Side, Server Side, DB, Network and Load Balancer) 

Essential Job Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end product performance of all applications and services.
• Review product specifications and provide input on application performance requirements/NFRs
• Define Performance Test Strategy for the entire product and come up with tools/solutions to achieve the same by performing proof of concepts on application under test
• Design and execute application performance tests for environment readiness test, scalability testing, stress testing, load testing and volume testing
• Analyze CPU Utilization, Memory Usage, Network Usage, and various sources such as Kibana and Azure to verify performance of the product
• Generate performance graphs, session reports and other related documentation for validation and analysis
• Participate in the development and reporting of test metrics; items such as test confidence and test coverage reports
• Work closely with the scrum teams, Business Analysts and Software Architects to understand the existing and newer developments on the product both from a technical as well as business point-of-view
• Proactively highlight and propose solutions to mitigate potential bottlenecks from a performance and security viewpoints
• Produce and maintain Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) around the testing performed. Deliver best-in-class service quality and manage SLAs accordingly
• Provide necessary knowledge to the sprint teams on performance testing & educate them to update/add new scripts & run the test 

Desired Candidate Profile/Skills

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent from an accredited college or university.
• At least 5+ years of experience in performance engineering, capacity panning with good knowledge of identifying application/infrastructure performance problems
• Experience with the following:
• Strong hands on experience in coding & scripting languages such as Java, C#, JavaScript
• Performance testing of applications hosted on cloud like Azure (preferred), AWS or GCP
• Debugging, Monitoring, Optimization: Using Azure, DataDog, JMeter or similar tools.
• In depth knowledge of database fundamentals and architecture (e.g. MS SQL Server)
• Good knowledge and understanding of CI/CD, Tool integrations (JIRA, GIT, Jenkins, etc.,)
• Be a thinker, help in finding performance bottlenecks, debug to get RCA and provide/recommend a working solution.
