Role Overview
The Global Investment Performance Standards (GIPS) and Management Reporting team in London maintains GIPS composites and provides oversight reporting for pooled and segregated accounts. The team produces performance reporting for clients, prospective clients and internal stakeholders, detailing the returns achieved across portfolios managed by the firm.
The team uses Confluence, the composite management system, as an integrated platform for performance calculations and reporting for accounts and composites.
This role will support the team in delivering accurate, reliable and timely performance reporting and analysis to internal clients, including senior management, product managers and client directors. The role will also support reporting across a range of asset classes, including Equities, Fixed Income, Multi-Asset, Commodities, Emerging Market Debt and Private Assets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Calculate and provide portfolio performance statistics to marketing teams in response to client requests
- Complete daily, monthly and quarterly data sourcing, validation and reporting tasks
- Support the onboarding and configuration of new accounts within performance systems
- Ensure performance reports are calculated in line with agreed procedures and delivered within agreed service levels
- Perform quality assurance on output from performance systems, resolve issues and escalate to the Team Manager where appropriate
- Liaise with colleagues and internal clients to deliver a high-quality service
- Work with other business areas to improve the accuracy and reliability of performance reporting
- Complete tasks within agreed deadlines, communicating and recording any delays appropriately
- Engage with fund and product managers to support reporting solutions for new products and enhancements for existing complex products
- Maintain up-to-date procedure notes covering core processes and new functionality as it arises
General Skills:
- Degree, A Level or equivalent qualification in a numerate subject
- Interest in financial instruments such as equities, bonds and derivatives
- Interest in investment processes and performance reporting
Technical Skills:
- Experience using Microsoft Office products, particularly Microsoft Excel
