MEMX is searching for a Performance Engineering Analyst who will work with the systems, developers and performance engineering teams to understand the problem and identify bottle necks in the system and application dataflows and architecture. The engineer must have a strong technical background with a passion for problem solving and a deep sense of curiosity to figure out the what, how and why. The ideal candidate will have some experience in a corporate or technical setting, will be highly curious, deeply analytical with a strong desire to find out the unknowns with a ownership mindset.

What You’ll Do
- Collect and analyze data from applications, systems, and network to derive insights about platform behavior and performance and identify bottlenecks
- Configure and develop tools to correlate disparate data sets to derive insights, trends and deviation patterns
- Develop processes to collect performance and latency data to combine with transactional data for monitoring and alert in real-time and perform historical analysis
- Engage in collaborative learning and discussions to help identify bottlenecks, explore solutions and validate solutions based on quantifiable data driven approach
- Work with software development, systems, network and operations teams to plan, implement and track changes with the goal to make the platform more performant and deterministic
- Research and explore the state-of-the-art hardware/software performance analysis tools and techniques to help identify issues and bottlenecks
- Run tests and frame experiments to provide visibility into system and application performance with an eye on identifying metrics which help to narrow down the problem
- Use statistical analysis methodologies to present data and derive information which will be used while working with teams across engineering functions to promote data-driven decision making
- A lot of other cool work: Identify capacity-related issues proactively and work with systems, network, application, operations and engineering teams to discover resolutions. Extend data collection and analysis by developing AI/ML models, explore workloads which can be migrated to cloud
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software, Electrical or Electronics Engineering, or comparable field of study
- Proficiency in programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, C++) and familiarity with infrastructure, databases, and network technologies
- Experience in scripting, data modeling and automation
- Dissect complex systems (software, servers, network components etc.) into discrete components for problem solving to identify root cause
- Knowledgeable about data visualization tools, cloud technology and deployment methodologies
- Strong problem-solving capability
- Excellent presentation and communication skills
- Desire to learn more about at-scale systems, technology, finance, exchanges, and markets
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, remote work environment

Pay Range: $90,000 to $120,000
