About the RoleWe are seeking a highly skilled Perception Algorithm Expert to join our cutting-edge autonomous driving team. In this role, you will lead the design, development, and optimization of L4 perception algorithms—ranging from sensor fusion models to post-processing and output enhancement. Your work will ensure that our system maintains robust and accurate perception in complex real-world environments.
Location: Shanghai, China or Silicon Valley, USA
Key Responsibilities
- Design and optimize end-to-end perception algorithm solutions for L4 autonomous driving
- Independently develop and iterate on object detection and tracking algorithms to ensure high accuracy and stability across diverse scenarios.
- Collaborate with hardware teams to optimize algorithm performance on SoC platforms.
- Analyze data from various perception systems and conduct post-deployment optimization and validation of algorithms.
- Partner with engineering teams to drive algorithm deployment and integration into autonomous driving systems.
- Continuously enhance algorithm performance in real-world deployment scenarios.
Qualifications
- Master's degree or above in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Automation or related fields.
- 3+ years of experience in perception algorithm R&D for autonomous driving or related domains.
- Strong C++ programming skills and experience with efficient algorithm development on SoC platforms.
- Demonstrated expertise in key perception areas such as obstacle detection, object tracking and environment understanding.
- Experience with high-performance data processing and large-scale data optimization.
- Ability to independently solve problems and drive algorithm development and innovation.
- Strong project execution skills for algorithm implementation and productization.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills for cross-functional teamwork.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with deep learning applications in perception and hands-on experience with frameworks like TensorFlow or PyTorch.
- Experience deploying L4-level perception systems in real-world environments.
- Proficiency in system tuning and perception module optimization.
- Team leadership experience or the ability to lead and coordinate small to mid-sized cross-functional teams.
