As we scale, we’re looking for a sharp, people-first candidate to help build and support the foundation of our growing team.
About the Role
You’ll play a key role across the full spectrum of HR operations—helping Crewfare stay compliant, efficient, and people-focused. You’ll work closely with leadership to implement best practices, build strong culture, and ensure a great employee experience from onboarding to offboarding.
What You’ll Do
Support and improve core HR functions including onboarding, offboarding, leaves of absence, employment verifications, benefits administration, employee relations, performance management, and more.
Serve as a go-to resource for employee questions, benefits questions including but not limited to 401k, paid time off, flexible spending accounts, and company policies.-Ensure HR policies are up to date, compliant, and aligned with our culture
Coordinate employee engagement initiatives, recognition programs, and team events
Manage HR documentation, records, and systems (Justworks)
Support hiring managers with sourcing, screening, and providing candidate feedback to hiring managers. Schedule interviews, manage interview process, and provide an excellent candidate experience keeping them informed throughout the hiring process.
Assist with payroll reviews and ensure accuracy in employee records
Manage all employee benefits including open enrollment in partnership with Justworks PEO.
Continually look for improvements to enhance a remote and distributed working environment and ensure a best in class remote work experience for our team.
Assist with creating and growing our crewfare Employer Brand - help position crewfare as a top place to work
Support day-to-day administrative operations
What You Bring
2–4 years of HR experience, preferably in a startup or high-growth environment
Working knowledge of employment laws, compliance, and best practices
Strong communication skills and a high level of discretion and empathy
Ability to juggle multiple tasks, stay organized, and keep a calm, people-first mindset
Experience with a PEO (Justworks experience is a bonus!)
A proactive, solution-oriented attitude and a love for building from the ground up
