  • We are scaling fast, and bolstered by Series A funding from Leeds Illuminate
  • We are acutely focused on growing Enterprise business
  • We are a dynamic global team that works fully remotely across Mexico, Spain, and the US
  • We come together online and in-person for events and team-building

The Role:

We’re a scrappy, fast-growing startup with ambitious goals: to 3x revenue in the next 3 years. Our team is agile, resourceful, and mission-driven. As we scale, we’re looking for a People Operations Specialist to build and streamline our HR and people operations functions, ensuring we have the foundation to grow effectively while taking care of our greatest asset—our people.

As The People Operations Manager, you will be responsible for end-to-end HR support for our U.S.-based employees while coordinating HR operations for our Spanish and Mexican entities. You’ll oversee everything from onboarding to compliance to culture-building initiatives, wearing multiple hats to keep our people and processes running smoothly.

We’re looking for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments, loves solving problems, and has a passion for creating efficient, employee-centric systems.

What you'll do:

  • HR Administration
    • Own the full employee lifecycle: onboarding, offboarding, benefits administration, payroll coordination, and employee record management.
    • Manage compliance with U.S. HR laws and regulations, ensuring employee handbooks, policies, and procedures are always up-to-date.
    • Support and coordinate people and HR operations, liaising with local legal and entity management to ensure compliance with local employment laws.
    • Coordinate employee benefits (U.S. and foreign), including health insurance, retirement plans, and leave management.
  • People Operations
    • Manage HR tools, systems, and platforms to ensure efficiency (HRIS, payroll, and benefits software).
    • Act as the first point of contact for employee questions regarding HR policies, benefits, and employment matters.
    • Partner with leadership to drive performance review processes, scorecard creation, goal-setting initiatives, and professional development programs.
    • Support collection and insights for HR metrics (e.g., engagement, attrition, headcount planning) and recommend improvements to policies, programs, and processes.
  • Culture and Employee Experience
    • Champion a culture of engagement, collaboration, and high performance.
    • Plan and coordinate virtual team events, all-hands meetings, and employee recognition programs.
    • Roll out initiatives to improve employee satisfaction, retention, and career development.
    • Proactively surface and address employee concerns, helping maintain a healthy, inclusive work environment.

This role could be a good fit for you if:

  • Experience: You have 3+ years in HR, People Operations, or related roles, with experience supporting U.S.-based employees and managing foreign entities (bonus if in startup or scaling environments).
  • Knowledgeable: You have a solid understanding of U.S. employment laws and HR best practices; familiarity with managing international entities a plus.
  • Detail-Oriented: You are meticulous when it comes to processes, compliance, and documentation. You sweat the details so others don’t have to.
  • People-Centric: You’re a great listener, communicator, and problem solver who cares deeply about the employee experience.
  • Resourceful and Proactive: You thrive in ambiguity, anticipate problems before they arise, and always find a solution.
  • Tech-Savvy: You are comfortable using HR tools, systems, and spreadsheets to streamline work. Bonus if you’ve implemented HR systems in the past.

The perks:

  • Remote First - our team works remotely across multiple countries and time zones
  • Medical, Dental, and Vision Coverage in the US - support for additional coverage is available in Spain
  • Company Team Offsites and Coworking - we believe that remote-first doesn’t mean remote-only
  • Free Product School Course Offerings - we offer a range of courses and certifications worth $15,000 that we readily encourage our employees to explore
  • Monthly Internet Reimbursement - we support our team, wherever they’re working from
  • Parental leave

We require that candidates be located in the country/countries specified. We are unable to hire outside of the country/countries specified or provide or take over sponsorship at this point in time.  Applicants MUST be authorized to work in the listed country of hire without sponsorship.

What We Do

Founded in Silicon Valley in 2014, Product School is the first technology business school.

We provide certified courses in Product Management and other digital skills to professionals across 16 campuses worldwide. We also offer the same courses live online. All our instructors are senior-level product managers working at top technology companies such as Google, Facebook, Airbnb, PayPal, LinkedIn, and Netflix.

Unlike traditional MBA programs designed for students seeking roles within the finance and consulting fields, Product School’s curriculum is highly relevant for the next generation of technology leaders, with classes offered at a fraction of the cost. The curriculum is designed to fit into work schedules with small classes held in the evenings or on weekends to ensure that both instructors and students can maintain their full-time jobs.

Students at Product School enjoy a healthy mix of hands-on projects, group activities, case studies, and panel discussions. Through this, they learn how to lead cross-functional teams, and experience building digital products from end to end. Students are also taught how to succeed in product management interviews and given access to our alumni community where they can expand their network, find mentors, and access job opportunities.

In addition to individual classes, Product School also delivers custom corporate training programs to Fortune 500 companies seeking to upskill their existing teams or onboard new talent.

Product School is committed to pushing the product community forward. With this aim in mind, we published the Amazon bestseller, The Product Book, organize meetups in over 150 cities worldwide, host the Product Awards, and run ProductCon, a multi-city conference attended by thousands of professionals every year.

Why Work With Us

We’re a huge, diverse and distributed family, passionate about our mission. Our team is the powerhouse behind building and shipping the most impactful product management content, tools, events and community. Product School is the place to be for anyone who is passionate about product and eager to make a difference in our industry.
