People Operations Intern (IEFP Internship)

About the Role 

Arkadium is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented People Operations Intern to support our People Innovation team in Lisbon. The internship will last 6 months and will be through IEFP.

This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in office operations, employee experience, and administrative coordination within a dynamic, global company. 

What You’ll Do 

 You’ll play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of our Lisbon office by supporting the following areas:

• Manage daily office operations, including maintaining supplies, snacks, and coffee inventory; 
• Coordinate team lunches, internal celebrations, and office events; 
• Support employee onboarding and coordinate swag orders and special deliveries for team milestones; 
• Provide exceptional hospitality to visitors by assisting with travel arrangements, accommodations, and personalized local itineraries; 
• Assist with administrative tasks such as invoice processing, timesheet tracking, and support for payroll and benefits administration; 
• Collaborate with the People Innovation team to enhance employee experience and support recognition initiatives; 

What We’re Looking For 

• Eligible for the INICIAR internship program promoted by IEFP (ages 18–35, holding a qualification at Level 4 or 5 of the National Qualifications Framework) 
• Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills 
• Comfortable multitasking and taking initiative in a fast-paced, hybrid work environment 
• Friendly, service-oriented, and a team player 
• Proficient in both English and Portuguese
