The Role
We are seeking a People Operations Business Partner (POBP) to serve as a strategic partner to leaders while ensuring strong, compliant, and scalable people operations across the organization. This role balances day-to-day People Ops excellence with forward-looking partnership, coaching, and organizational effectiveness.
The People Operations Business Partner will work closely with managers and employees to support performance, engagement, compliance, and growth, while continuously improving people processes and systems. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth environment and enjoys both strategic thinking and hands-on execution.
Please note that this is an in-office position.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a trusted People partner to leaders and managers, particularly in our Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Quality organizations, and guide performance management, employee relations, engagement, and team effectiveness.
- Coach managers on people leadership topics, including feedback, development, difficult conversations, and change management.
- Support employee lifecycle moments, including onboarding, performance reviews, promotions, role changes, and exits.
- Act as a point of contact for employee questions and concerns, ensuring consistent, fair, and empathetic resolution.
- Own and execute core People Ops processes, including performance cycles, compensation changes, promotions, and workforce planning support.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and internal policies; partner with legal and external vendors as needed.
- Support audits and internal reviews (e.g., benefits, payroll, SOX, or HR compliance audits).
- Maintain accurate employee data across HR systems and ensure documentation is complete and up to date.
- Identify opportunities to improve and standardize people processes to support growth, efficiency, and consistency.
- Support implementation and optimization of HR systems and tools (e.g., HRIS, performance management, engagement platforms).
- Use data and feedback to inform improvements in employee experience and people programs.
- Partner on employee engagement initiatives, feedback mechanisms, and action planning.
- Support leadership development and high-potential employee programs.
- Reinforce company values and culture through people practices and manager enablement.
Qualifications
- 6+ years of experience in People Operations, HR Business Partner, or similar HR generalist role.
- Strong knowledge of U.S. employment laws and HR best practices.
- Proven experience partnering with leaders and influencing without authority.
- Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, evolving environment with a high degree of autonomy.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and coaching skills.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and follow-through.
- Experience with HRIS and people systems (e.g., Lattice, Rippling, Workday, ADP, or similar).
- Experience in a high-growth startup or scaling organization preferred
- Exposure to workforce planning, org design, or change management preferred
- Experience supporting manufacturing, scientific, or regulated environments preferred (e.g., pharma, biotech, manufacturing)
