Job Description

The People Generalist provides leadership and consultation to influence their respective groups to operate in alignment with Company’s vision, strategy, values and culture while supporting the improvement of organizational performance. They will play an important role in building effective relationships with employees and client groups to provide seamless first line HR support in the development of action plans to improve business results and control human capital risk. Ensure that for all employees in their client group, employees and management are compliant with current practices and initiatives while fostering a positive attitude toward organizational objectives. 

Specific Responsibilities:

  • managing the end-to-end talent requisition process, partnering with hiring managers globally, and ensuring efficient headcount approval and recruitment workflows.
  • Supports respective management team in developing and implementing effective organizational design and structures, talent and retention strategies, reward and recognition initiatives, and performance management efforts for meeting business objectives.
  • Provides guidance and applies best practices to assigned Client Groups on HR initiatives including but not limited to: talent management, employee engagement, organization development, compensation, employee relations and training.
  • Ensures that the client group has all the tools and communications to drive participation in annual HR activities such as performance evaluations, engagement surveys, open enrollment, and other such regular items. Monitor status and provide recommendations to management team.
  • Provides management coaching to build leadership capabilities and resolve employee issues.
  • Performs problem analysis and resolution, and collects relevant data to identify trends.
  • Analyze and report on HR data to help shape and influence business decisions. Run reports from employee database as requested.
  • Proactively maintains a high level of business knowledge of client groups, Company and the industry.
  • Communicates to managers, supervisors, and employees regarding employment-related policies, procedures, rules, laws, and regulations and ensures compliance.
  • Recommend new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of department and services performed.Also provide input and solutions to administration when repetition of individual problems indicates negative trends.
  • Resolve employee issues through a systematic approach with clear documentation and follow through. 
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
  • Understand and follow company and department rules and regulations.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned and required.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience required strongly preferred.
  • 6-8 years of experience in a related HR role.
  • Knowledge of China labor laws, statutes, etc. which govern employment policies and practices.
  • Understanding and ability to apply current internal and external HR principles, concepts, practices and standards as well as a solid understanding of all HR disciplines including recruiting and selection, talent management , compensation and benefits, performance management, employee relations, and training/development.
  • Experience in building strong working relationships and successfully collaborating to implement programs across all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated planning and organization skills, attention to detail, ability to handle multiple tasks, and work in a fast-paced, ever-changing, time-sensitive environment.
  • Capability to make recommendations to effectively resolve problems or issues, by using judgment that is in consistent with standards, practices, policies, procedures, regulation or government law.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with demonstrated ability to relay complex concepts in relatable terms.Must be an articulate and persuasive communicator.
  • Ability to exercise discretion and good judgment in interpreting and applying company policies to issues and problems.
  • Ability to handle confidential information in a professional manner.
  • Ability to research and analyze various different types of data information.
  • Strong self-initiated follow up skills with ability to take initiative and manage multiple projects successfully in a fast-paced and changing environment.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint Outlook and HRIS system.
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
  • Understand and follow company rules and regulations.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned and required.
