The Opportunity
The People & Culture Generalist supports the execution of talent management, employee experience, performance management, employee relations, and learning initiatives across Thermo Systems.
This role serves as a key partner to the Sr. Manager, People & Culture, and helps coordinate programs that strengthen employee engagement, organizational effectiveness, and talent development.
What You’ll Do
Core Responsibilities:
- Assist with employee relations matters through documentation, case tracking, scheduling, and administrative support.
- Support workplace investigations through documentation, meeting coordination, and record maintenance.
- Assist with leave administration, ADA accommodation tracking, and return-to-work processes.
- Conduct exit interviews and support employee feedback initiatives.
- Coordinate performance review cycles, talent reviews, succession planning activities, and promotion processes.
- Generate talent development, engagement, and workforce analytics reports.
- Support employee engagement, recognition, and culture initiatives.
- Coordinate and/or serve as back up to learning and development programs, leadership development initiatives, and mentorship programs.
- Serve as back up to L&D in Administering the Learning Management System (LMS), training assignments, certifications, and learning records.
- Support onboarding, orientation, and employee development programs.
Collaboration & Communication:
- Partner with managers, employees, and People & Culture leaders to support development and employee experience initiatives.
- Coordinate with external learning and leadership development partners.
- Communicate talent program information, timelines, and expectations to stakeholders.
- Support change management and organizational development initiatives.
Quality, Process, and Governance:
- Maintain accurate employee development, performance, and talent records.
- Support compliance with company policies and employment practices.
- Ensure confidentiality of employee and investigation-related information.
- Assist in continuous improvement of talent processes and employee experience programs.
What We’re Looking For
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business Administration, Education, Psychology, or related field preferred.
- 3+ years of Human Resources, Employee Relations, Talent Development, Employee Experience, or related experience.
- Experience supporting performance management, and employee relations, onboarding, learning programs, employee engagement activities.
- Experience facilitating training, workshops, or employee programs preferred.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Performance management and talent process knowledge.
- Employee relations documentation and case management experience.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, HRIS platforms, and learning technologies.
- Facilitation and presentation skills.
- LMS administration experience.
