People and Culture Intern

Drive meaningful impact on the employee experience at BASE life science.

As our next People & Culture Intern, you will join our global People & Culture team and support initiatives that help create a positive employee experience across BASE life science. Through a combination of operational support, process improvement, and project work, you will gain exposure to the full employee lifecycle while contributing to the development of a workplace that empowers and supports its people.

About the role

In this role, you'll work closely with the People & Culture team, supporting them in key initiatives and gaining exposure to a wide range of topics and decisions that shape our workplace. This is a unique opportunity to learn, grow, and add real value as we continue to define how BASE develops as a workplace that empowers and supports its people. Reporting to our People & Culture Operations Manager and collaborating closely with the People & Culture team, you'll be involved in:

Your responsibilities include:

• Supporting data maintenance and reporting activities across platforms such as SharePoint, BambooHR, and Workday.
• Participating in the implementation, optimisation, and digitalisation of People & Culture processes.
• Supporting global people processes, including onboarding, employee changes, incentive payments, and local labour initiatives.
• Creating clear and engaging communications for employees and stakeholders.
• Collaborating within the Operations team while supporting People & Culture initiatives.
• Participating in People & Culture projects and gaining exposure to the full employee lifecycle.

You bring:

• Professional English proficiency, both written and spoken.
• Currently studying Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field. Master's students are preferred.
• The possibility of signing an internship agreement with your university or study centre for 9-12 months (mandatory).
• Ideally, previous experience within Human Resources or People & Culture.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail while maintaining a broader perspective.
• A proactive mindset with a strong willingness to learn and take ownership of new challenges.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills and the ability to thrive in a dynamic, international environment.

This position is offered in Barcelona, Spain.
