We are looking for a commercially-minded, high-energy P&C professional to act as a critical link between our people and our business goals, ensuring Kogan.com remains a magnet for top-tier talent.

This is a high-impact where you willl move beyond traditional administration to provide genuine business partnering, driving everything from complex employee relations and talent acquisition to evolving our Employee Value Proposition (EVP). Working directly with the Director - People & Culture, you will have the autonomy to influence how we hire, develop, and retain the best in the industry within a fast-paced, ASX-listed environment.

 

In this role you'll be responsible for:

    Sourcing, Candidate Management & Hiring

  • Select and utilise cost-effective sourcing channels to find the best talent.

  • Analyse and report on channel effectiveness to ensure efficient talent acquisition.

  • Build and engage effective talent pipelines for relevant roles.

  • Manage all recruitment activity, including the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) and Careers Inbox.

  • Coach hiring managers on sourcing, screening, and high-impact interviewing.

  • Oversee the onboarding and induction process to ensure new hires are supported from day one.

  • Performance Management & Case Work

  • Manage timely case management to address and resolve performance issues.

  • Coach and train people leaders on setting KPIs and driving top performance.

  • Mitigate risk and exposure to Fair Work claims through proactive and compliant case management.

  • Employer Branding, EVP & Engagement

  • Maintain the Kogan.com Careers site to ensure it remains up-to-date and relevant.

  • Partner with the Director - P&C to evolve our Employee Value Proposition (EVP).

  • Collaborate with the Marketing team to develop engaging employer branding materials.

  • Develop social content (e.g., LinkedIn) to attract top-tier external candidates.

  • Learning & Development

  • Lead L&D discussions within departments to support skill progression.

  • Manage the L&D budget to ensure relevant and impactful training programmes.

  • Occupational Health & Safety

  • Lead the OH&S Committee and drive workplace safety compliance across the business.

  • Manage ill and injured workers, including any WorkCover cases that may arise.

  • Ensure all safety initiatives are communicated and embedded within the organisation.

  • Reporting, Policies & Business Partnering

  • Provide regular reporting on key metrics like time-to-fill, turnover, and channel effectiveness.
  • Ensure all company policies are up-to-date and understood by the team.
  • Act as a dedicated partner to all departments, providing guidance on all aspects of people management.

To be successful in this role, you should be:

  • University Degree qualified in Human Resources, Business, or a related field
  • Proven experience in a P&C Generalist or Business Partner role. Previous experience in Retail, eCommerce, FMCG or a similar fast paced environment will be well regarded
  • Tech-literate with the ability to leverage AI tools to automate workflows, streamline administrative tasks, and drive maximum operational efficiency. Previous experience using Lever and HiBob will be highly regarded.
  • A logical thinker who is always looking for new, better ways of working and improving the team member lifecycle.
  • A "can-do" attitude with the resilience to manage complex employee relations and high-volume recruitment.
  • An excellent communicator with a natural ability to build rapport and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Attentive with a great eye for detail, especially regarding documentation, reporting, and industrial relations.
  •  A highly organised individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment, effortlessly managing multiple competing priorities.
  • Ready to challenge, be challenged, and work within our highly disruptive business model.
