Work Arrangement: Virtual but commutable to MetLife's Tampa, FL; Cary, NC; or Bloomfield, CT
Role Value Proposition
The Pension Services Consultant role in the US Pensions Group provides a challenging opportunity for a motivated individual to forge lasting partnerships with a broad range of finance functions, including Accounting, Separate Accounts, Reporting and Reconciliations, and Client Relations as well as provide service and support to our long-time pension customers.
Key Responsibilities
Responsible to ensure the timely and accurate processing of pension benefits and researching and resolving complex issues to ensure client funds are accurately accounted for and reconciled to the client statements.
Ensure Separate Account assets are moved within investments accounts and the general account according to the client directives.
Record client deposits and ensure the assets are correctly allocated to the correct Separate Accounts or general account.
Partner with the Client Relations Unit to ensure that all client services are accurately accounted for, annuitant information is accurate
Research accounting discrepancies and provide prepare accounting transactions to resolve discrepancies to ensure the accurate reporting of client assets.
Collaborate with offshore associates to ensure the processing of all client transactions are accurate and timely.
Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills
Required:
HS Diploma or equivalent
Advanced presentation and communication skills.
5-7 years' experience in financial transactions.
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including but not limited to x-lookups, sumifs, links, and pivot tables
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and ability to plan, multi-task, prioritize responsibilities
Preferred:
Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
Knowledge of Insurance concepts, financial principles, Defined Benefit Plans, and DOL reporting
