As a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA), you'll provide one-on-one therapy in children's homes, building meaningful relationships with patients and families while helping children improve their communication, feeding, and swallowing skills. Speech Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) – Qualifications and Responsibilities

    • Provide pediatric speech therapy services under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP).
    • Implement individualized treatment plans to address:
      • Speech disorders
      • Language delays
      • Articulation and phonological disorders
      • Feeding and swallowing challenges
      • Social communication skills
      • Monitor patient progress and communicate treatment updates to the supervising Speech-Language Pathologist.
      • Educate and support parents and caregivers with home programs and therapeutic strategies.
      • Complete accurate and timely documentation.
      • Collaborate with Speech-Language Pathologists, Occupational Therapists, Physical Therapists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive, family-centered care.
      • Build positive, lasting relationships with children and their families through compassionate, one-on-one care.
      • Qualifications
        • Graduate of an accredited Speech-Language Pathology Assistant program.
        • Current Texas SLPA license (or eligible to obtain prior to start date).
        • One year of experience preferred; new graduates are encouraged to apply.
        • Pediatric experience preferred.
        • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus but not required.
        • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
        • Passion for helping children achieve their communication goals.
