Practice: Progressive Physician Associates (PPA) is a large interdisciplinary private practice group of over 100 providers that includes Diagnostic Radiologists, Interventional Radiologists, Vascular Surgeons and Advanced Practitioners. We are the exclusive service provider for St. Luke’s University Health Network (SLUHN) in Lehigh Valley, PA. We are proud to partner with SLUHN to support their Radiology Residency Program.

 

Our Network:  SLUHN, is a growing regional/tertiary network of 13 hospitals, specialty clinics and imaging centers serving the Lehigh Valley community in Northeastern Pennsylvania and Western New Jersey. We are an Academic institution with extensive residency and fellowship programs as well as a Medical School. Pediatrics at SLUHN has seen tremendous growth expanding services to 11 counties across 2 states. St. Luke’s University Health Network’s Bethlehem Campus, a proud member of the Children's Hospital Association since 2022, is home to a 25-bed PICU and a dedicated children’s emergency department. Additionally, the hospital operates four Neonatal Intensive Care Units, including a specialized Surgical NICU, two Level III NICUs, and a level II NICU. The department is supported by a growing team of pediatric specialists covering 14 specialty areas including: pediatric surgery, GI, endocrinology, nephrology, developmental pediatrics, neurology, cardiology, dermatology, psychiatry, pulmonology, radiology, anesthesia, orthopedics, and plastic surgery. As a GE show site, the network offers state of the art, standardized equipment across network hospitals and imaging sites along with a unified PACS system.

Who we are seeking:

PPA is seeking a full-time or part-time fellowship-trained Pediatric Radiologist. This position will support a growing Pediatric Radiology Division within PPA as well as participate in daytime general adult diagnostics allowing flexibility to read various other imaging modalities. This team-oriented Pediatric Radiologist will be comfortable with pediatric procedures, interpretation of diagnostic imaging, includes: Xray, US, Fluoro, CT for Peds and Adults, pediatric MR and flexibility to cover additional specialty reads. Similarly, the ideal candidate will continue the tradition of strong interdisciplinary collaboration, working closely with SLUHN pediatric specialists in delivering world class care in a network boasting several Top 100 Hospital awards by IBM/ Watson Health™ and Fortune/Merative®. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to provide excellent clinical care, teaching, and the opportunity to participate in scholarly activity. The ability to teach pediatric imaging and procedures to medical students and radiology residents is a requirement. This position requires participation in interdisciplinary conferences and NICU rounds with pediatric specialists.

Qualifications:

    • Successful completion of an ACGME accredited pediatric radiology fellowship
    • ABR/AOBR certification, medical licensure/eligibility to practice in Pennsylvania and New Jersey
    • CAQ or CAQ-eligible in pediatric radiology

Call Responsibilities:

    • 1:5 weekend (with plans for 1:6)
    • 5a-8a and evening 5p-8p call 2 times a week
    • No overnight call (8p – 5a)
    • Appropriate post call time off

    • The Lehigh Valley is 1 hour north of Philadelphia and 1.5 hours west of New York City
