POSITION SUMMARY
The PDC (Parts Distribution Center) Operation & Logistics Specialist is responsible for coordinating the daily flow of construction equipment parts through the distribution center to ensure timely, accurate, and cost-effective delivery to dealers, service centers, and customers. This role oversees inventory accuracy, inbound and outbound logistics, warehouse operations support, and continuous process improvement to maintain high service levels and operational efficiency.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Logistics Coordination
o Manage inbound and outbound freight schedules, ensuring timely receipt and shipment of parts.
o Communicate with carriers, vendors, and internal teams to resolve delivery issues and optimize transportation routes.
o Track shipments, monitor carrier performance, and maintain accurate logistics records.
· Warehouse & PDC Operations
o Support daily warehouse workflows, including order picking, packing, staging, and loading.
o Ensure inventory accuracy through regular cycle counts, stock adjustments, and reconciliation of discrepancies.
o Assist with warehouse layout optimization, equipment utilization, and workflow efficiency.
· Inventory & Data Management
o Maintain accurate system entries related to parts movement, inventory levels, and shipping documentation.
o Analyze operational data to identify bottlenecks, delays, or inefficiencies and recommend improvements.
o Prepare operational reports related to inventory, shipping metrics, and distribution center performance.
· Process Improvement & Compliance
o Implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) to enhance consistency, accuracy, and safety.
o Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and industry best practices.
o Participate in cross-functional projects focused on supply chain optimization and customer service improvement.
· Customer & Dealer Support
o Serve as a point of contact for order-related i
inquiries, shipment tracking, and parts availability.
o Assist dealers and internal teams with escalations related to order issues or logistics constraints.
WORKING CONDITIONS
· Primarily based in a Parts Distribution Center environment with routine exposure to warehouse conditions such as noise, varying temperatures, and heavy equipment.
· Requires extended periods of standing, walking, or operating warehouse equipment.
· Occasional lifting of materials up to 50 lbs.
· May require occasional travel to vendor sites, corporate offices, or dealer locations.
· Standard work schedule with potential overtime during peak demand periods.

Requirements
Education & Experience
· Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
· 2–4 years of experience in logistics, warehouse operations, supply chain, or parts distribution (construction equipment or industrial machinery preferred).
Skills & Competencies
· Knowledge of logistics processes, inventory management, and warehouse operations.
· Proficiency with ERP/WMS systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards).
· Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and generate actionable insights.
· Effective communication and interpersonal skills; ability to collaborate cross-functionally.
· Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and adapt to rapidly changing operational needs.
· Forklift certification or willingness to obtain one (if applicable).
Skills Required
