Sitting within Worksome’s Contingent Workforce Management team, the role is an internal and external point of contact for enquiries around Worksome’s North American contingent payroll. The right candidate will join our payroll team who are responsible for ensuring accurate and timely payroll administration, compliance with relevant regulations, and maintaining payroll records. This role requires excellent communication skills, strong analytical abilities, and a thorough understanding of multi-state payroll processes and systems.
- Oversee the end-to-end payroll process, including data entry, onboarding new employees, reviewing timesheets, running regular payroll, and approving off-cycle payrolls.
- Stay up-to-date with applicable payroll laws, regulations, and best practices to ensure compliance with federal, state/provincial, and local requirements.
- Work closely with the Compliance & Legal teams to incorporate legislative updates into our knowledge library, internal policies, and playbooks.
- Generate various payroll reports on-demand and support potential audits.
- Ensure the accuracy and completeness of quarterly and year-end payroll records for W-2 purposes.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience managing multi-state payrolls, with a comprehensive understanding of US payroll policies, payroll record-keeping, reporting requirements, and procedures within the independent contractor space.
- Experience with Canadian payroll is a plus.
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively, with a strong focus on customer experience.
- Demonstrated ability to work with minimal supervision while maintaining exceptional accuracy and meeting strict deadlines.
- Competitive base salary ranging between $80,000 - $110,000 USD
