Job Purpose: Responsible for the timely, accurate, and compliant processing of payroll for all hourly and salaried employees, including audits, recordkeeping, analysis, reporting, benefit management, and employee onboarding. Oversees payroll system functionality, supports employee inquiries, administers employee benefits, and coordinates new hire orientation. Also responsible for labor corrections, W-2 tax reporting, garnishments, and 401(k) compliance.

Essential Functions include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

1. Initiates all approved pay changes and deductions in HRMS; manages direct deposit changes and uploads pay stubs.

2. Performs year-end payroll functions, prints/distributes W-2 forms, and files them electronically.

3. Manages garnishments and child support payments.

4. Manages benefit programs, including 401(k) contributions and compliance testing, health insurance billing, and plan changes.

5. Enters new hires into HRMS and reports them to the state of Kansas.

6. Coordinates and facilitates new hire orientation.

7. Maintains and administers payroll software systems such as Paylocity and Made2Manage, including troubleshooting.

8. Maintains accurate payroll and benefits records and ensures compliance with all regulations.

9. Performs payroll analysis to identify and resolve discrepancies.

10. Collaborates with HR and Finance to ensure accurate benefits and deductions processing.

11. Distributes labor reports, enters labor corrections, and compiles payroll and HR data as needed.

12. Maintains confidentiality of sensitive payroll data and employee information.

13. Makes recommendations for competitive and cost-effective benefit programs.

14. Stays current with industry trends and employment legislation.

15. Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations

Qualifications and Requirements: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. 1. A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Associates' or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field preferred.

2. Minimum 3 years of experience in payroll and benefits administration, preferably in a manufacturing environment.

3. Experience with Paylocity and Made2Manage (M2M) preferred.

4. Knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations and benefit compliance requirements.

5. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

6. Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy and organization.

7. Ability to prioritize and manage time effectively in a fast-paced setting.

8. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

9. Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel).

10. Ability to maintain confidentiality of employee and company information.
