JOB TITLE:  Payroll Administrator

REPORTS TO:  Manager, Payroll & Accounting

LOCATION: Plano, TX or Remote

SUMMARY:       

The Payroll Administrator is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely preparation, processing, and distribution of payroll. This role requires a high level of accuracy, confidentiality, and knowledge of payroll systems, tax regulations, and compliance requirements. The Payroll Administrator reports directly to the Manager, Payroll & Accounting and works closely with People & Culture, Accounting, and management to resolve payroll issues and support employee inquiries.

 
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Process payrolls for all employees (Hourly & Salary) in accordance with company policies and Federal, State, and Local regulations.
  • Review and verify timecards, attendance records, and other relevant data.
  • Maintain accurate employee payroll records including new hires, terminations, changes in pay rates, benefits, and deductions.
  • Ensure compliance with tax regulations and company policies.
  • Submit and monitor payroll-related reports, including tax filings, garnishments, and benefits deductions.
  • Respond to employee payroll inquiries and resolve discrepancies in a timely and professional manner.
  • Reconcile payroll prior to transmission and validate confirmed reports.
  • Collaborate with People & Culture and Finance to support audits and reporting requirements.
  • Stay updated on payroll laws, regulations, and best practices.
  • Experience with multi-state payroll processing preferred.
  • Knowledge of benefits administration and HRIS systems preferred.
  • Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC) is a plus.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
  • Proven experience in payroll processing or a similar role.
