Candex is seeking a Payroll Accountant to join our team and support our global growth. In this role, you’ll manage payroll and support the bookkeeper with her daily tasks. You’ll report to the local Controller. The role is part time, 70%.

The Role

  • Collect and update data in the payroll system

  • Ensure compliance with tax regulations, labor laws, pension, and social benefits requirements

  • Handle employee onboarding and termination processes related to payroll

  • Review and process attendance data

  • Prepare periodic and ad-hoc reports as required

  • Support the generation and distribution of all regulatory forms (101, 106)

  • Assist employees and managers with payroll-related inquiries

  • Coordinate with HR and Finance departments regarding employee updates and payroll changes

  • Monthly tax reporting (national insurance).

  • Support the bookkeeper with month-end closure for legal entities in multiple countries

  • There may be occasional business travel once a year

Requirements

  • Certified payroll accountant - a must

  • 2+ years of payroll processing for companies with +100 employees - a must

  • Proficiency in Google Workspace and Microsoft Excel (including VLOOKUP)

  • Experience with Michpal - a must

  • Strong knowledge of local tax reporting (national insurance, salary tax)

  • Advanced English skills (written and spoken)

Skills Required
