Job SummaryWe are looking for an experienced Payroll Accountant to join our Finance team. In this role, you will own the payroll function, ensuring payroll and remuneration are processed on time, accurately, and in compliance with statutory regulations.
Responsibilities and Duties- Ensure payroll and GIG-contractors remunerations are processed on time, accurately and in compliance with statutory regulations
- Ensure compliance with the internal procedures
- Serve as a point of contact on all payroll and remuneration-related matters
- Leading the adaptation of payroll software to the project needs/automatisation processes (setting technical tasks etc.)
- Manage existing relationships with Finance, Accounting and HROps teams
- Develop and implement best practices and key performance indicators for the team
- Stay informed of relevant local regulatory and policy changes, communicating and establishing key changes across the function
- Identifying and helping implement process improvements
- Minimum 3 years of proven experience in Accounting and the field of payroll
- Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
- Experience in managing the payroll function
- Strong working knowledge of local regulations and policies related to payroll and HR
- Knowledge and understanding of Diia City tax regime (payroll and remunerations)
- Experience with an ERP system is required; knowledge of BAS (BAF) CUP/ERP, Fredo, and Vchasno software would be a benefit
- Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong work ethic and standards with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Good written and spoken English
- Experience with NetSuite

Skills Required
- At least 3 years of experience in accounting and payroll
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Experience managing the payroll function
- Strong knowledge of local payroll and HR regulations and policies

- Experience with an ERP system
