Translate an evolving AI/tooling landscape into clear, governed direction that delivery teams can execute.
As a Vice President within the Payments XDLC Transformation team, you will shape the future operating model (e.g., lifecycle, standards, ways of working, and accountability) for how we ideate, plan, design, build, test and deliver Payments’ products with increased speed and quality through the use of embedded AI / agentic tools. As an important first step in that transformation, you will help lead the initial pilot teams and help build a reusable set of agentic assets and “built-in” controls and resilience (e.g., automated evidence, standardized guardrails) to improve auditability and reduce operational risk. This role partners closely with product-line and technology leaders across Payments to define a pragmatic roadmap, launch pilots, and scale adoption—translating an evolving AI/tooling landscape into clear, governed direction that delivery teams can execute.
Payments XDLC Transformation is a Payments-wide initiative to establish a predictable, scalable, and auditable product delivery operating model by embedding AI / agentic tools across a common lifecycle with updated standards and ways of working. The program scope spans both the Product Development Lifecycle (PDLC) and the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) for all of JPMC’s CIB Payments business.
Job Responsibilities:
Support definition and socialization of the Payments XDLC vision and scope
Stand up a minimum viable XDLC program structure covering onboarding approach/materials, support model (e.g., office hours/escalations), feedback/listening-post strategy, and role-based responsibilities (enablement, feedback, telemetry)
Support launch and ongoing support for a series of cross-functional pilot Pods, including initial launch, office hours, and ongoing feedback loops (as defined by XDLC program structure)
Define reusable agentic assets/backlog (e.g., skills, agent workflows, context/knowledge packs, adapters) and drive reuse/consistency across Payments as the program scales
Partner across CIB and firmwide AI stakeholders to define PDLC/XDLC metrics to measure adoption, productivity, predictability, and quality—while setting up baselines and reporting mechanisms
Own the roadmap from MVP to scale, iterating the program structure based on pilot feedback and expanding from initial pilots toward broader rollout
Conduct internal and external research (e.g., peer benchmarks, vendor landscape, practitioner communities, JPMC case studies) to define best practices for AI-led product development and agentic operating models, and translate findings into reusable playbooks/standards
Support design of an agent-led target operating model for Payments XDLC, defining roles (human + agent), decision rights, governance/RACI, and how work flows across PDLC/SDLC from ideation through production support
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
8+ years of business and technology strategy experience, with proven expertise leading complex strategic initiatives
Demonstrated expertise in current GenAI and agentic concepts (e.g., tool/function calling, workflow orchestration) and how to apply them safely in enterprise environments
