About VFX

VFX Financial is one of the UK’s fastest-growing FinTechs, helping complex organisations move, manage, and protect money across borders. Built for specialist sectors, multi-jurisdiction structures, and high-compliance environments, we support businesses whose needs go beyond standard banking. We’re selective about who we work with because exceptional service requires focus and commitment.

With six international offices, five regulatory licences, and an 83% CAGR over the past three years, we’re scaling rapidly and earning industry recognition along the way — including the Financial Times FT1000: Europe’s Fastest Growing Companies 2026, CNBC UK’s Top Fintech Companies 2025, Wealth & Finance FinTech Awards 2026, and the Business Growth Award from Business Awards UK.

Behind it all is a team of ambitious VFXers united by collective ownership, a focus on growth, and a shared passion for solving complex problems.

About the Role

VFX are looking for sharp, numerate Payments Analysts to join our growing Treasury team — the engine room of our business. This team is responsible for managing the Group’s cash, safeguarding client funds, and ensuring smooth, timely payments across our global network.

Reporting into the Head of Treasury, you’ll play a key role in supporting daily operations alongside our Payments Analyst team, from funding accounts and processing payments to investigating queries and reconciling with our banking partners. It’s a hands-on role with real impact — ideal for someone who enjoys solving problems, thrives on precision, and wants to grow in a fast-paced fintech environment.

No prior experience is required — just a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support daily payment operations to ensure accounts are funded and payments are processed accurately and on time.

  • Monitor and manage the Payments Operations mailbox, distributing tasks and responding to queries.

  • Process payments using banking portals such as Barclays.net, Barclays File Gateway, and RBS Bankline.

  • Investigate and resolve queries related to inbound and outbound payments.

  • Act as a first-line escalation point for payment-related issues.

  • Reconcile payments with our blue-chip banking partners.

  • Assist with the reconciliation of internal broker and treasury accounts.

  • Liaise with banks to resolve payment issues and ensure smooth operations.

Key Challenges
  • Managing high volumes of time-sensitive payments with precision.

  • Navigating multiple banking platforms and internal systems.

  • Balancing routine tasks with ad hoc problem-solving.

  • Working under pressure to meet daily cut-off times.

Candidate ProfileEssential Skills & Attributes
  • Degree in Finance, Mathematics, Economics, or another relevant discipline (or equivalent experience)

  • Strong communication skills — both written and verbal.

  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Ability to prioritise tasks and manage time effectively.

  • Positive, dependable, and proactive mindset.

  • Comfortable asking questions and taking initiative.

  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Calm under pressure and deadline-driven.

  • Proficient in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Nice to Have
  • Internship or academic experience in financial services or payments.

  • Familiarity with banking portals or payment systems.

  • Interest in treasury, payments, or financial operations.

Success Measures

This role will be successful if within 12 months we see:

  • Full ownership of daily payment operations with minimal supervision.

  • High accuracy and reliability across all payment and reconciliation tasks.

  • Proactive identification and resolution of payment issues.

  • Strong working relationships with internal teams and banking partners.

  • Demonstrated growth in technical and operational knowledge.

Benefits at VFX

We offer more than just perks—we offer ownership.

Our benefits include:
  • Generous Profit Share Plan (PSP)

  • Potential Equity opportunities via the Company Share Option Plan (CSOP)

  • Competitive salary

  • Annual all-expenses paid company incentive trip abroad

  • Flexible learning & development budget

PSP & CSOP Details

At VFX, the biggest benefit is the opportunity to act like an owner. Through our Profit Share Scheme (PSP), every team member has a stake in the business by sharing in the profits.

To show you what that looks like, in 2025, PSP participants received over £1,000,000. Historically, VFX has also offered equity opportunities via Company Share Option Plan (CSOP), where more than 80% of eligible VFXers chose to become shareholders — a powerful reflection of the belief and commitment that drives VFX forward.

If you care about building something meaningful, take pride in your work, and are motivated by impact — you’ll thrive here.

Next Steps

If you are successful, you will be contacted for an initial call with the People Ops Team, followed by a 1st stage technical Teams interview, and culminating with an in-person final stage interview at our London office.
