The Boeing Company is currently seeking a Payload IPT Lead to join the team in El Segundo, CA.
The selected candidate will report to the Program Manager and will be responsible for managing the design, procurement, and integration and test of hardware, resource planning, procurement deliveries, execution to schedule, and overall assembly, integration, and test (AI&T) of a commercial program payload.
Position Responsibilities:
- Leads the overall payload design effort
- Leads the execution of integration and test for an assigned satellite in accordance with customer requirements, business objectives, and Boeing processes.
- Close coordination with supplier management and responsible for supplier deliveries
- Leads project execution to complete the work statement, identify performance metrics.
- Plans and coordinates resources required over the life of the project.
- Assigns responsibility for activities to team members and ensures technical correctness and consistency of the satellite product.
- Compares actual results to the baseline plan to assess project performance, efficiencies, productivity, and lessons learned.
- Identifies corrective actions to improve team performance.
- Ensures team members use established Boeing Space and Missile systems processes, procedures, and best practices as appropriate.
- Develops and maintains detailed Satellite System integration and test plans.
- Works under consultative direction
- Collaborates and consults with cross-functional technical teams on spacecraft development Design For Manufacture And Test (DFMAT) and process improvements.
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.
This position must meet export control compliance requirements. To meet export control compliance requirements, a "U.S. Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required. "U.S. Person" includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
Basic Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience with space, launch vehicles, satellite programs, or other complex systems
- 3+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering, and/or production system developments
- 1+ years of experience in leading multi-skilled teams
- Excellent written and oral communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in systems or subsystem integrated product team lead
- 3+ years of experience with cross-functional team leadership
