In this role, you will make impact by

·   Support IP affairs of specific InnoIs, including but not limit to independently drafting PCT application and managing prosecution of the entire patent families in different jurisdictions as in-house attorney.

·   Proactively expand responsibilities and to be an active member in IPU.

·   Independently support R&D or application projects and deliver according to expectation, preparing SOTA, FOA analysis report without supervision.

·   Support local project/innovation/business from patent side

·   Support patent invalidations and patent infringement litigations

·   Provide IP training to APAC team and update legislation development in China to global IP team

·   Participate Business target working group in global IP team.

·   closely follow CN legislation and translate it into Novonesis’ interest.

·   Ability to communicate complex patent issues in simple terms to stakeholders and beyond.

·   Support IP affairs in the other jurisdictions in APAC except China.

·   Team up with the other Chinese patent attorney(s) for workload sharing.

·   Team up with Admin team, keep polishing prosecution workflow and database update.

·   Take initiative to explore digital solutions to improve working efficiency

·   Other tasks or responsibilities relevant to IP

To Succeed you must hold:

• Master's degree in Biology or related field is required.

• Chinese patent attorney certification

• Chinese general law certification

• At least 8 years experience
