The Role

We're looking for a motivated and energetic Partnership Project Manager to join our growing company! This role reports into our Endurance Group whose events (Tradeshow/Conferences) target the specialty run and outdoor markets, specifically with events including The Running Event and Switchback. The primary responsibility of the Partnership Project Manager is to identify and build relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders within non-profit and commercial partners, while expanding and nurturing the current partnerships that support the continued growth of the Endurance portfolio. With the goals of the portfolio as the driver, the candidate will identify the partners that align with the priorities and values of the event and industry. The role is tasked with outlining partnerships that will elevate the experience at our events, grow attendance, and drive thought leadership. The candidate will be responsible for the full lifecycle of the partnership - from identifying the lead through execution of the contract and partnership deliverables.

The role requires the ability to actively collaborate and communicate externally and across multiple internal teams. The incumbent will work closely with the Marketing, Conference, Event, and Sales Manager to ensure alignment of deliverables and on-site activations.

Key Areas of Responsibility will include:

  • Partnership Development: Discover and assess potential partnership opportunities in line with the portfolio strategic goals. Perform thorough market research and analysis to gauge partnership viability and competitive positioning. Establish a pipeline of potential collaborators.
  • Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain strong ties with key stakeholders and decision-makers within partner entities. Facilitate transparent communication channels and act as the primary liaison for all alliance-related affairs. Coordinate with internal teams to synchronize goals and ensure the smooth execution of partnership ventures.
  • Negotiation and Contracting: Spearhead negotiations with prospective partners, crafting agreements, defining critical terms, and ensuring mutual alignment. Collaborate closely with legal and finance departments to finalize partnership contracts and agreements.
  • Partnership Execution: Responsible for the implementation of partnership endeavors, ensuring the effective rollout of joint marketing campaigns, co-branded activities, and other mutually advantageous initiatives. Monitor and evaluate partnership performance against predefined metrics and KPIs, including reporting out metrics.
  • Performance Analysis: Conduct routine performance assessments and furnish reports on partnership initiatives. Assess the impact of partnership on business objectives, pinpoint areas for enhancement, and provide recommendations for optimization and expansion.
  • Additional duties as assigned by the Event Director.

Ideal candidate will have 3-5 years on-the-job experience in marketing, communications, analysis, and execution of comprehensive marketing strategies. Experience in project management and a track record of building comprehensive marketing strategies with proven results is a must. We are seeking candidates who can foster innovative and analytical thinking to solve problems collaboratively. Must successfully navigate organizational complexities. Capable of collaborating with cross-functional teams to manage and execute marketing plans in support of business and revenue objectives. Ability to multitask, complete tasks on schedule and pay attention to details. Proficiency using MS Office Suite (Word, Excel and PowerPoint). Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Travel will be required!
