Minderoo Foundation Effective Philanthropy Enabler drives the foundation strategy and vision through a holistic, systems-thinking approach and the development of organisational capability. Develops long-term relationships with our philanthropic peers, deploys impact investments and sets and holds the central standards for impact-related activities, impact measurement, capability development and sustainability. Job DescriptionReporting to the Head of Capability you will be working closely with First Nations colleagues you will drive impact within a high-performing team. You will work efficiently across our matrix structure ) Focus & Enabler areas) championing the One Minderoo Culture. Your efforts will align with Minderoo's strategic goals, focusing on partners, stakeholders, and beneficiaries.
QualificationsKey skills and experience will include:
- Drive the First Nations Talent Strategy, translating the strategy into meaningful action across the organisation
- Collaborate with Talent Partner and hiring managers to identify suitable roles for First Nations candidates, facilitate culturally responsive recruitment practices, and create initiatives to support the engagement, career progression and retention of First Nations employees.
- Develop and implement targeted recruitment strategies to attract and retain First Nations talent
- Build relationships with community organisations, educational institutions, and employment agencies to create pathways for First Nations job seekers.
- Design and manage onboarding and mentoring programs that promote cultural understanding and workplace integration.
- Lead cultural competency training and workshops for staff to enhance understanding of First Nations histories, cultures, and communities.
- Equip People leaders with the skills to manage and lead First Nations team members in a culturally appropriate way.
- Act as a cultural advisor to leadership and teams, promoting awareness and sensitivity across the organisation.
- Develop resources and programs that support the organisation’s commitment to reconciliation and understanding of First Nations culture.
- Support the development, review, and implementation of policies or guidelines related to First Nations employment and engagement, ensuring alignment with organisational values and relevant legislation.
- Monitor and report on diversity and inclusion metrics relating to First Nations employment, engagement, retention. representation and progression, to inform decision-making and track progress.
- Provide recommendations to the leadership team on best practices and improvements to First Nations employment initiatives.
- Identify and support initiatives that promote First Nations representation, leadership, and participation across the workforce.
