The Role

Job Description
BAE Systems Intelligence and Security is looking for a Part-Time On-Call (PTOC) Business Winning Editor to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be able to re-write and/or edit business winning-related documents such as RFI or RFP responses, White Papers, and other customer presentation materials.
Core Responsibilities include:

  • Apply editorial styles and standards consistently and appropriately across multiple proposal volumes with rigorous attention to detail.
  • Conduct final reviews of text, graphics and other formats for various business winning materials.
  • Possess professional-level expertise with electronic desktop applications - Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
  • Identify, question, and/or correct grammatical and punctuation errors, faulty sentence construction, and ambiguous or conflicting statements/information.
  • As needed, research and verify acronym definitions; generate glossaries.

What does PTOC mean:

  • Control your schedule. You will still be an intrinsic member of a high performing team, but as a PTOC editor, we will contact you when we have work, and you can accept-or not-based on your schedule and availability. We are especially looking for someone who can be available on evenings, weekends, and holidays.

What we are looking for:

  • Bachelor's degree in English or a relevant career field.
  • Federal proposal editing experience for multi-teammate, solutions-based proposals.
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
  • Ability to focus on the work at hand while responding promptly and cheerfully to frequently changing requirements, deadlines, tasks, and instructions.

This role will be based in McLean, VA and can operate remotely throughout the United States.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills

  • Federal proposal editing experience for multi-teammate, solutions-based proposals
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

  • Familiarity with Adobe products


Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $20800 - $416000
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
Temporary employees generally are not eligible for BAE Systems benefits, but can elect to participate in the 401(k) savings plan. Temporary employees working 20+ hours per week are eligible for medical benefits, the employee assistance program, and business travel accident insurance.
