We are currently seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated professional who enjoys being an integral part of the litigation process and working closely with attorneys on complex and challenging matters.
About the RoleAs a Litigation Paralegal at Porter Scott, you will play a key role in supporting attorneys through all phases of litigation. You will work on a variety of matters, including public entity defense, employment, construction, professional liability, business litigation, and general civil litigation cases.
Your responsibilities will include reviewing and summarizing records, managing subpoenas, coordinating experts and independent medical examinations, assisting with discovery, preparing deposition and trial materials, and helping attorneys prepare for mediations, arbitrations, hearings, and trial. You will work closely with attorneys, clients, vendors, experts, and court personnel to ensure matters move forward efficiently and deadlines are consistently met.
This position is ideal for someone who is highly organized, detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced litigation environment.
QualificationsThe ideal candidate will possess:

A minimum of 2 years of litigation paralegal experience, preferably in a civil litigation practice.

Strong knowledge of California court procedures, discovery rules, and litigation deadlines.

Experience preparing and managing discovery, subpoenas, medical records, and litigation support materials.

Trial preparation experience preferred.

Excellent organizational, analytical, and time-management skills.

Strong written and verbal communication abilities.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, and legal document management systems such as NetDocuments or similar platforms.
