Technical Review of the Infrastructure and Configuration of the Palo Alto NGFW Solution
Overview:The IT security consultant will conduct a thorough technical review of the existing infrastructure and the configurations of the Palo Alto Next-Generation Firewall (NGFW) deployed within Client. The goal is to identify improvement opportunities, enhance the security posture, and ensure that the solution is optimized to meet the organization's specific needs.
Scope of service
Infrastructure Analysis:
Assess the current network architecture and its integration with the Palo Alto NGFW solution.
Identify weaknesses and potential vulnerabilities within the infrastructure.
Configuration Review:
Examine the current configurations of the NGFW, including filtering rules, security policies, and performance settings.
Verify compliance with Palo Alto best practices as well as Clients security policies.
Audit Report:
Provide a detailed report presenting the results of the audit, including identified strengths and weaknesses, along with concrete recommendations for improvement.
Prioritize corrective actions based on the associated risk levels.
Improvement Plan:
Propose an action plan for implementing the recommendations, including clear steps and a projected timeline.
Collaborate with Clients technical teams to ensure effective implementation of the improvements.
Follow-Up and Support:
Offer ongoing support post-review to assist with the implementation of recommendations and reassessment of configurations if necessary.
Establish performance indicators to measure the effectiveness of the changes made.
Technical audit report of the infrastructure and configurations.
Detailed action plan for recommended improvements.
Training documentation for internal teams on best practices for configuring and managing the NGFW.
Requirements
Technical Expertise:
Expertise with Palo Alto NGFW solutions.
Expertise of network security principles and best practices.
Duration:The technical review will be conducted within a specified timeframe, with the possibility of an extension for follow-up and implementation of recommendations.
4-5 years of experience on Alto
Soft skills : A skilled public speaker with strong presentation skills.
