Primary Responsibilities:
- Research, initiate, and implement sales strategies to grow the commercial tire business.
- Complete necessary follow up with customers, and continually update customer requirements, purchases and buying levels.
- Support customers by providing product pricing, recommending products, and arranging timely deliveries to meet their needs.
- Ensure that all products are billed accurately to the customer and process all necessary information in the computer system.
- Participate in local trade shows, fleet surveys, industry associations and customer training.
- Prepare input into Fountain Tire forecasts for light truck, medium truck and OTR tires for store.
- Participate in all safety initiatives, as required or assigned, to guarantee safety at Fountain Tire including customers and staff, on the road, site or field.
- Complete assigned e-learning and safety courses and adhering to standards and policies as described in learning modules.
- Assist in inventory management through documentation processes and annual inventory counts.
What does it take to get on track?
- Experience in the automotive sales and tire industry is an asset
- Effective listening skills with the ability to identify customer needs and provide recommendations
- Working knowledge of passenger, light truck and, specialty tires and mechanical services
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and be able to provide a satisfactory passenger or commercial Driver’s Abstract
- Excellent customer service and a great attitude are a must
- A team player who takes pride in their work
