Our growing healthcare practice in Avon Park is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner to join our team.
The Nurse Practitioner will be responsible for seeing an average of 12 patients per day and providing comprehensive medical care, including performing physical exams, diagnosing and treating illnesses, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, prescribing medications, and providing patient education.
Nurse Practitioner Responsibilities:
• Conduct physical exams and obtain patient medical histories
• Diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses and injuries
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as blood work and imaging studies
• Prescribe medications and other treatments
• Provide patient education on medical conditions and treatment plans
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement treatment plans
• Document patient care in electronic medical records system
• Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations

Requirements
• Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program
• Current Florida State Physician Assistant license
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a primary care or internal medicine setting
• Experience working in a managed care practice preferred
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a team
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Proficient in electronic medical record documentation
