Join Lonza AG as an Operational Technology Engineer in Greenwood, SC, collaborating with global teams.
Key responsibilities:- Manage the installation, configuration, and support of both legacy and future OT systems, including Real Time Location System (RTLS), RFID systems, Autonomous Mobile Robot (AMR) fleet, and more.
- Act as plant liaison, collaborating optimally with global MES and IT infrastructure groups to ensure flawless operations.
- Design, plan, and coordinate all activities from conception through the entire lifecycle of OT systems.
- Develop and implement guidelines for troubleshooting 24/7 operational systems.
- Ensure compliance with site, local, state, and federal guidelines, prioritizing safety for colleagues, vendors, contractors, and visitors.
- Develop specifications for new or modified systems and support interface development.
- Participate in testing, GMP validation, and the generation of training documents.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Management Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or a related field with equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of IT application development, business systems analysis, and support experience.
- At least 3 years of experience with SQL and demonstrated proficiency in the Microsoft Suite.
- Proven track record to make sound business decisions under time constraints in a multifaceted work environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate across various functions.
- Extensive knowledge in data importing for reporting software, spreadsheets, graphs, and flowcharts.
- Familiarity with IT platforms including VMware and exposure to common integration tools and transactions.
- Ability to work independently, within a team, and in a diverse workforce.
- Willingness to travel as needed (<10%).
