Job Description

As an OT Cybersecurity Engineer, you will be responsible for protecting and securing operational technology (OT) environments, including SCADA systems, PLCs, and other industrial control systems within our infrastructure

You will work at the intersection of IT and OT, ensuring the security, reliability, and integrity of critical operations while maintaining compliance with industry regulations

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement OT security policies and procedures
  • Conduct regular security assessments of OT infrastructure
  • Design and maintain secure OT network architecture
  • Monitor and respond to security incidents affecting industrial systems
  • Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing
  • Implement security controls and mitigation strategies
  • Coordinate with IT teams for an integrated security approach
  • Provide training to operations staff on cybersecurity best practices
  • Maintain documentation of OT assets and security configurations
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Lead security improvement projects
  • Develop incident response and recovery procedures
  • Stay current with emerging OT security threats and technologies

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related field
  • 5+ years’ experience in OT/ICS security
  • Deep knowledge of industrial protocols (Modbus, DNP3, OPC)
  • Experience with SCADA systems and PLCs
  • Understanding of IT/OT convergence and security frameworks (NIST, IEC62443, NIS)
  • Strong network security and architecture knowledge
  • Experience with security tools and monitoring systems
  • Familiarity with water sector regulations and compliance requirements is a plus
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities
  • Project management skills
