Experience & Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the orthodontist during exams and orthodontic procedures
- Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and orthodontic materials
- Place and remove arch wires, bands, and brackets as directed
- Take digital impressions, photos, and X-rays in compliance with safety standards
- Educate patients on appliance care and oral hygiene
- Maintain sterilization, infection control, and OSHA compliance
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management
Requirements
- Current state licensure as a Dental Assistant (RDA) required
- Orthodontic assistant experience preferred (dental assisting experience considered)
- Knowledge of orthodontic procedures, instruments, and appliances
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment
- Strong communication skills and a friendly, patient-focused demeanor
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality patient care
