As an Organizational Project Manager supporting all of Alcon you will partner with cross-functional teams to develop project plans and shepherd them to completion in Fort Worth, Texas, USA.
In this role a typical day will include:
- Creating and maintaining project charters to ensure clarity on scope and project objectives.
- Coordinating project through all phases of lifecycle (Initiation, planning, execution, closeout)
- Developing project plans, forecasts/budgets, and timelines (milestones), inclusive of managing contingencies and critical path
- Evaluating and reporting project team activities against project plan to identify deviations from planned timing, budget or scope.
- Contributing to design and execution of communication and change management plans to ensure that all stakeholders are informed of project status.
- Participating in project outcomes through utilization of process improvement mindset (e.g., lean six sigma skillsets)
- Leveraging appropriate communication tools to ensure impact and multiple modalities.
- Participating in the development of stakeholder analysis and engagement plans
- Managing vendors through processing of SOWs, POs, invoices, etc.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO ALCON:
- Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent year of directly related experience (or high school + 13 yrs; Assoc. +9 yrs; M.S. +2 yrs; PHD +0 yrs.
- The ability to fluently read, write, understand and communicate in English
- 5 Years of Relevant Experience
- Travel: up to 5%
- Relocation: NO
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Formal project management, learning management or change management certification preferred (e.g., PMI, PROSCI, ATD)
- Direct experience on internally facing initiatives with a focus on associate experience - such as process improvement, transformations, reorganizations, integrations, etc.
- Certification in Lean Six Sigma methodology (e.g., Green/Black Belt)
- Experience within Medical Device, Pharmaceuticals or similar regulated industry
