Job Description

Infosys is seeking a Oracle/SQL Developer who has worked on large datasets and / or data warehouses and also has knowledge of Hadoop. This position will primary be responsible to interface with key stakeholders; apply technical proficiency across different stages of the Software Development Life Cycle including Requirements Elicitation, Application Architecture definition and Design; play an important role in creating the high level design artifacts; to deliver high quality code deliverables for a module, lead validation for all types of testing and support activities related to implementation, transition and warranty; part of a learning culture, where teamwork and collaboration are encouraged, excellence is rewarded, and diversity is respected and valued.

Candidate must be located within commuting distance of Dallas, TX / Charlotte, NC / Atlanta, GAlocation and be willing to relocate to the area in the near future. This position may require travel to project locations.

Required Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.• At least 4 years of experience in Information Technology.• Experience working in Oracle using large volumes of data• Experience in Big Data technologies - Hadoop, Spark, Scala, Python, PySpark• Experience in software development life cycle.

Preferred Qualifications:• At least 5 years of experience in any RDBMS• At least 5 years of experience in Software development life cycle. • At least 2 years of experience in Project life cycle activities on development and maintenance projects.• Strong analytical skills• Thorough understanding of RDBMS concepts and data access strategies using partitioning, indexing, etc.• Ability to write and comprehend complex SQLs• Ability to work in teams in diverse/ multiple stakeholder environment• Experience in Financial Services domain is a plus• Experience and desire to work in a Global delivery environment.

The job entails sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time. Should be able to communicate by telephone, email or face to face. Travel may be required as per the job requirements.
